Making use of the popular puzzle of the arrival first of the hen or egg, the author is pointing out the phenomenal importance of the present moment.

Whether the hen arrived first or the egg is mot a question but a puzzle.We always try to solve a puzzle , but it seems that this particular one is unsolvable. There was always a possibility of getting a proper answer, if these were questions.However,this is a tough puzzle The puzzles are always the games of fun and floric and are often used merely as a nice means to pass time. 

Once upon a time there was a long and intense discussion on this tough puzzle of the egg and hen. In a small hut , the so called wise people sat for discussion and had several arguments on both the sides as well ass

Whatever may be the various situations at that particular moment , you have to make the proper  choice of the right direction only ,so as to proceed on your path of success and inner satisfaction. 

The lovely and full of life chicks of the present moments  are beckoning us and sincerely advising us to make the best use  of them by virtually converting them into the festivals of great pleasure ,satisfaction and joy, before they get fully exhausted.

It is a popular saying that if water is left free to itself, it makes it’s own surface level , but for this to happen, it has to necessarily flow in the downwards direction.The earth’s gravity is fully responsible for this. However , there are some obvious deviations where this general rule is not applicable. For example, water does climb up through a plant for sustaining its life and similarly,in an earthen lamp, the oil goes up the Vick to support it to burn and in turn to light the lamp. During the rainy season, when all the rivers are in spate and the river water flows violently at a very high speed, every thing present there runs fast with it towards the sea. Some sea water fishes , on the other hand     are able to climb the reverse current and come into the river. Generally , we often say that the birds are flying in the sky. However, they fly in the air present there, not in the sky. The same birds will not be able to fly in moon’s environment , as  inspite of the presence of the sky, the air does not exist there.

[29/10, 10:27 pm] P K Mathur: If we do make our observations with the needed concentration, we will find that whosoever flows along with the flow of various events and circumstances with no effort of his own,he just flows around. However, when he joins himself  with his devoted and sincere workmanship,the results obtained are totally different and purposeful. As mentioned above , when water climbs up the plant,it starts the life process of the plant and the oil rising the Vick  does make the oil lamp’s life fruitful and purposeful.Transfer of the fishes coming out from salt water of the sea does provide them  a new fresh water home in the river. Migratory birds do find a base for their life lines and daily chores.

From the above description. , it can be safely concluded that by the dedicated and sincere workmanship, one can easily win over the difficult circumstances, posed by the Almighty Nature and finally achieve the desired aims of life.

The author has dealt in depth about one of the most important question in our lives, viz, “ what and how much of it is essential”.  If there are no necessities and requirements, it will be useless to imagine that life.However, it is extremely essential to properly ascertain, by carrying out intense thinking and mutual discussions with the concerned people, the real necessity of various different things and their amounts , to run our lives conveniently with the desired efficiency.

While keeping the necessities of life in our minds, one should not cross the boundary line as this will be likes thirsty deer running in a hot desert in search of drinking water, which in reality does not exist at all. Just like this running exercise of the deer , it will be obvious that by crossing the boundary line , one will increase the thirst in a big way rather than quenching it in the real sense  of the term 

According to the “materialism” or the world market , the very thought of keeping the necessecities of life in control, restricts the development of the mankind and it is the eternal truth of the concept of the demand and supply. However, the principle of keeping the necessecities to the lower level does not contradict it .  There is no denial at all for satisfying our essential needs, but when we very Iwill know that our final retirement is only two yards of land , then why each one of us is fully engaged in running this blind race. Statements such as,” why his shirt looks whiter than my shirt,” of the detergents sales man hides “ marketism” within it and the market does your emotional encashment . 

All the different constituents of the Almighty nature do neither any competition with  nor do any damage to others . A tree never wishes that it’s neighbouring tree  does not attain the height greater than his own  All big rivers make the small ones to meet them and then flow together towards their common destination , the big sea . The wind calls for its companions and tells them in its own way that let us all go together carrying various  sweet and welcome flavours to fill the entire world  with the enchanting and wonderful fragrance.. All these planets are the part of the Sun’s family with their own indidual disciplines.Nobody comes in the way of others. A bird flies in the morning to its destinations and when it returns to the nest in the evening, it does not have any collection of things. Tomorrow morning again it will fly and will fill its stomach depending on its hunger.

Instead , it has taught us running faster and faster.  Life is pretty full of several necessities, but it will be much better if one makes use of the theory of pleasure and satisfaction ,while taking care of fulfilling them.We should perceive that whatever things , we have obtained today, with them, we should be able to to attain our goal of wishes.

We should believe in the following saying, popular among the poor, “Thoda hai , Thode Ki jaroorat hai ; Zindagi khubsurat hai (There are few things, we need only few, life is indeed beautiful with them).

It is author’s honest attempt to defin and describe important terms, viz, development,richness and negative change in lives. 

Generally speaking the “ development is growth for betterment. However we have mistakenly assumed that collection of various comfort articles and implements in our lives is real development and have become so much immersed in it that we always keep ourselves busy mainly in their efficient and useful management . 

Just to acquire more and more “ richness in our lives, we have been bound to run around unnecessarily for making  good use of these articles. For example, compulsory seeing of  TV, listening to the sound system , drinking of cold drinks, if we have gone in for buying respectively a TV, sound system and a fridge for our house. For avoiding all this running around, there is only one simple solution and that is to follow the priciple of detatchment. This means that we do not acquire and collect any thing more than its basic requirement to run our lives. A strange thinking has taken over us and entered deep into perception that our status should be bigger than that of the next neighbour. This is a big negative change in the thought process of our lives and rearing and collection of this  unwelcome wealth is mostly considered as an indicator of the continual increments of our wealth and development.

If we perceive Vikar as the “ negative change” philosophically, we will find that it is a natural process. Generally any good or bad change and specifically a bad negative change in the nature and personality of the individual is what we call” Vikar” in one’s life.A real remedyfor stopping of its production is the timely progress of richness and development in our lives. 

In whatsoever way we take our decisions and promises , slowly our life and personality will move in the same direction From this very moment,we should start implementing necessary improvements in our perception and direction to undertake welcome decisions and make only those promises that can be easily fulfilled, as today’s morning has come to provide you new opportunities. 

In short, taking good decisions and making useful promises is the most welcome direction of life , which in turn comes out from our innerselves.

Various virtues and attributes of one’s own hand are vividly described by the author in this write- up.

If I keep my fist closed, no give and take is feasible with any body. If the heart and the innerself are full of guilt and frustration,similar is the result. The closed fist is always one and alone in number. However, when I open it and observe keenly, I see the wide open, soft and delicate five fingers of my hand. One can easily see each and every smallest constituent of the open fingers and even the fate lineson the palm. When I observe the entire scene with lots of concentration,I become surprised and wonder struck to understand that this all was hidden within my closed fist.Byppening the fist,I suddenly feel thatI I have gained good among ofcapacity of working by my own hands and that a very large number of various opportunities of my wide and broad work area have now become available for adaptation. 

This is quite true that the closed fist and open hands do represent the widely different attributes. The closed fist iis an indication of self determination and of the welcome and appreciation of one’s power. It is also the demonstration  of the inner feeling ofthe promise and strongness.If the closed fist  is raised high towards the sky, it becomes the great ovation for getting prepared for making big sacrifices.The open hands, on the other side, are the active instruments of our work and when joining together, do serve as the affectionate invitations for closeness and intimate friendships . When the affectionate open hands are lightly and soothingly kept on some body’s back and shoulders for spat,he becomes full of inner joy, needed valour and self confidence. When an open hand lifts flowers from a bucket and offers them to some person, it does become self fragrant and starts spreading fragrance all around. Similarly, the same hand when meets some body alse’s hand, it gets converted into’we’ from‘I’. This travel from’ I’ to ‘ we’ is the travel from theMan to the Divine Almighty.Then this my hand, will actively contribute towards the national build-up, character building and development of several new pathways of manhood  and industriousness. 

This how both the closed fist and open hands are strong indicators of  the self determination  and the workmanship respectively, Hence it is very true that one ‘s hand is the Divine Almighty.(Apns Haath Jagannath).

By making use of a few apt message imparting examples of several great poets and their instrumental contributions to the richness of the literature for the benefit of the society of their times, the author has successfully attempted to urge the people to choose their own small pathways of great achievements. The basic requirement for this purpose is the person’s inherent sincere dedication to carry out almost unimaginable works such as growing sugar cane in the Thar desert, lifting the mountain top on an index finger, etc. 

Goswami Tulsidas converted himself from a person,always engaged in worldly pleasures, to a saint poet.During the age of the treacherous Mughals ruling the country, he showed the exemplary courage and wrote the great Ram Charitra Manas an amazing poetic description of the life and times of Maryada Purushottam Lord Ram in the simple local language, just like the puja material

Her various bhajans, “main to Sanware ke rang rachi” and “ mere to Giridhar Gopal, doosro na koi” became extremely popular with masses throughout the country and served as essential ingredients of devotion and puja of people at large. This way Meera Bai could  achieve her own salvation and  in turn became the worthy source of the salvation of many others. 

The great poet Soordas, inspite of his being sightless from birth, could get the darshan of the Almighty Bhagwan Krishna and with the kind help of the Divine Grace, could create and sing melodiously a very large number ofwonderful couplets called “ pads”.  He was loved by masses and was accorded the exalted title of the Sun of the love and devotion shining in the sky.Even today all poetry lovers prefer to take a nice dip in the sea of love and devotion of his Soor Sagar. 

Integrating the readily available wisdom of the “Upnishads”in his spinning wheel thread , the great social reformer and spiritual poet Kabir wrote various couplets and poems of social awakening and devotion and sang them fearlessly without worrying about the religious, social and political zealots of that period..Even after the lapse of several centuries , his couplets influence and educate people at large.  On similar lines, the poet Redas , a raw leather craftsman, created very soothing devotional poetry, “

Tum chandan hum pani” and left it’s fragrance for ever to benefit the society. 

All the above celebrated poets did move against the prevailent social and political ethos and served as burning examples for people to follow in future. The difficult pathways , they chose to follow have become the role models of the people at large all over the world.  

It is therefore, recommended that , if feasible, we should also try to actively search for small pathways for ourselves and contribute our best for the benefit of the nation and the world at large.

Using the example of the crooked movement of the insect “zonk” in the clear placid waters, the author describes the zig zag  and crooked motion of our” man”, fheinnerself, a natural fan of chaos. It is because of this that we always seek bondagein the independent relationships and also wish for the freedom from these relationships. Is it not the strange trait of the” man” Ki baat , due to which we bring  a shining golden chain for us from the market and naturally start loving it in  big way. Once iit happens so ,  no body  can help us getting free from the 

bondage of these chains of greed.

[19/10, 8:28 pm] P K Mathur: A burning example of the above strange behaviour of “man”is of the young parrot reared up with lots of love and affection in a golden cage by a kind person, providing it the requisite food and water regularly in the cage itself. The parrot was obviously very happy and contented in this bondage. Once it got a chance of going out of cage and seeing the beautiful world around with the magic of fruits laden green trees. However as the bird was acustomred of getting all it’s tasty food in the cage itselj, it could  visualize their presence only there and came back for stay in the cage.The author mentions that just like the caged parrot considers its basic relationships with the plants, trees, sky etc unnecessary and, due to the strong natural force, compulsorily starts thinking of the bondage relationship as basic ones,we human beings are also doing the same. While in the process, we do meet many people of similar traits due to which our crooked perception grows stronger and stronger with time as the  bitterness of the Karela increases several folds when it’s plant is risen over a a neem tree. 

Generally, the persons, both he and I are bound but we need free people. This is not our  natural trait but due to confused thinking , our forced situation, we neither seek the possible solution nor the freedom . We all all want freedom from  our pure inner self relationships , because we have been moving around without their inherent goodness and wisdom.We always  agree to the various self created bonded worldly relationships but do not  care  for holding  up the inner free relationships, for which one does not require any body else’s permission.

The author has tried to establish that the life can be looked upon as the story of you and me. 

As a matter of fact, the life is like a grand novel consisting of many almost uncountable small stories. With the passage of time,at several stages, different people meet us , get seperated and again meet us. With every body, some story , some conversation and some memory do get attached. Out of these so many people, some try to extract from you  and some try to give something to you.However, occasionally you happen to meet  a special person , who  enters your life and is just not interested in this mundane give and take.He is  the person , who after establishing  an unbreakable relationship with you and after  mixing with you fully just like Misri in milk, becomes a part and parcel of your both head and heart. 

Generally,the normal relationships are cultivated by us all for helping each other and also dealing with various world affairs at ease,the special  relationships( natedaris) are usually created by the Divine Grace. Whenever, this special and close “ natedar” is near by, our heart gets filled up with great pleasure and inner joy and when he goes away far from us , we feel as if some important and crucial part of our body has been cut off. Whether our life story can be  complete without the presence of these special relationships is a big question? It is a fact that, although the specific chapters of close relationships have not been added by us in the grand book of our life, the entire life  would become worthless , if the mistake is not corrected and these chapters are not added up there. Thus , the life is a cosolidated packet of the wholeness and if we open  and see it in entirety, we

 will find that because of this addition and wholeness, we have experienced radical change over from this end to that end in our lives. 

In our childhood. we all used to insist with our dadima  about telling us some stories . If she was not in mood, she used to shirk us off by making the story short and saying” Ek tha  Raja, Ek thi Rani , dono mar gaye khatam Kahani. If these beautiful special relationships( natedars) were not there, our lives would have remained only short story , just like the one our dadima used to narrate to us when not in mood.

Thus, it is essential that we always remember that particular life story which makes us fully understand the real values of our lives. If by doing so,we can derive the requisite  advantages, that will be real bliss.

The author wishes to convey the significant message of the non statism and everlasting  continuum of various  life processes of the ever spreading universe in close succession. To illustrate it well,he describes in nice and vivid details,the several natural phenomenon,we observe in our daily life  :

The life giving Sun appears silently every morning and after effectively carrying out its duty throughout the day ,disappears from the scene in the evening. Later , the Moon appears, showers the soothing moon light on the earth throughout the night and goes away. Various seasons do appear silently without making any fuss and they all go away after fulfilling their respective responsjibilities. 

Why all this does happen?

The crown prince designation is duely performed so that he can take over the king’s responsibilities with ease as soon as the king passes away. The river flows  in its own current so that lots of more water coming from the top of the mountain can seek 

 it’s own pathway .Dry leaves do fall down from the branches of the tree so that  the new generation  of leaves born and  occupy the open free space. A seed does self sacrifice after growing up as a plant, so that after achieving the development of its own clan ,  new seeds can occupy its place . Wet clay is to be fired so that it gets converted into a brick for its use as a building material in the construction of new houses.Destruction , devastation, decay, change over etc become necessary processes as some new construction is expected to occur there .This development process is continuously going on from times immemorial . All animals , birds and all living beings are a part of this process and continue to be in their respective boundary limits.

After a close observation  of all the above mentioned continuous changes with the passage of time ,  one can surely expect and conclude that the new and fresh spring  with beautifully coloured flowers ,sweet fragrences and chirping birds will again arrive after the fall finally gets over for the year.

The author has vividly described various aspects of the enormous load on the shoulders of the “ man” ,an essential constituent of the mind,  a very important part of the human body.

“ Man” is  a nonidolistic ,unphysical, unseen and untouchable entity but it does serve as an efficient and quite fast  superwiser and supercotroller of the various body faculties with the supersonic speed. In this process it gets all the work done without itself getting involved in the job. For example ,if it required to enjoy the taste of a jalebi it puts the various body faculties such as hands, teeth and tongue on the job.

“Man” is the most arrogant, most powerful and some times even the weakest body constituent but also the decisive entity. Occasionally, it even defeats the human wisdom and does not even listen to the right thinking and analysing power of the human body. On one moment, it will make you feel that you are the happiest person on the top of the Everest and the next moment , it will make you blind with rage/ sorrow  and misguide you to commit suesuside by hanging from the ceiling fan  using a rope.

The author mentions that in view of its some specific properties , four different attributes such as “ Weg”,” Awesh”,  “ Aweg” and “ Sanweg can be ascribed to this entity. In the context of the available scientific knowledge, these four attributes can be understood as follows : 

Weg- followed as the speed of going from one place to another. With respect to the time , the change of any body’s position is called Weg and can be easily followed as the speed of this change As the powerful entity entity changes from one place to another with big speed, it is called Wegwan.

Awesh- When a new thought process quickly enters the “ Man” then a new electrical energy associated with this thought moves through the entity  which goes berserk and starts behaving like a mad elephant.

Aweg- Moving very fast in any direction like a flowing flood is Aweg 

Sanweg- It is the momentum a nd and is the  combined action of both mass and velocity

It is easy to understand the first three Weg ,Awesh and Aweg nicely but not the Sanweg which is the end result of the three. Not able to stop after acquiring the speed is Sanweg and can be understood as the moment of inertia as what happens in the Parkinson’s desease.

Using an apt and wonderful example of the happy and auspicious Deepavali festival , the author has emphasised the fact that , often ,some people do arrive, God knows from where, and enter one’s life to convert it into the shape of a festival , very much like the earthen lamps, several colours, fire crackers come and do during Deepavali . 

This family festival is of great pleasure , fun and floric inner joy which brings with it the colourful rangoli paintings , brightly burning earthen lamps, and noisy exploding fire crackers and a large variety of tasty sweets. in people’ lives throughout the country. 

In the absence of these additions, Deepavali will not  remain a glorious festival but will only be a date in the Sanatan calendar. All these auxiliaries are always prepared to  sacrifice themselves fully for making the day a wonderful and memorable festival- earthen lamps sacrifice oil and batti, various colours are used up in grenerating presenting the delicacy and beauty to the environment and the fire crackers get exploded and some times create welcome sounds to drive away wild animals and many

harmful  insects, bacteria and virusses.Even after the above mentioned sacrifices are carried out by all the above items  while doing their appointed duties selflessly and honestly, their karma signatures do still remain.Seeing this sacrifice  our mutual relationships also should not breakdown and should remain healthy

The author strongly recommends that one should always see “ good” by his eyes. 

If we observe our eyes closely, we note that the eye lids do behave like a “ gate way”, but this does not allow every body and any body to get in to go ahead and reach our heart

Ahead of this first gate, there seems to be a “ common hall”, where, only your relations or those who are able to make their place of stay there can reach. Often, one can find that, some of this lot are masked individuals, liers, cheats and also low grade criminals. They behave  like a virus and are able to directly affect our immune system and it is very difficult to make them ineffective and kill them by any anti virus  agent. This “ hall” gets filled up and also gets  emptied quite frequently.

Beyond this the path is very significant and important and only those people reach there , who are able to seriously affect your head and heart and life development and decay. After this “ sit out” , there is a “living room” where you can  live with these faces and interact  with them and share your entire life.

Who are able to reach  there are your favourites and in return, you are liked by them. These are the people you never forget even after several births.This “ pathway” is in your control. People who reach and reside there , come over after crossing boundaries of all relationships and are free from all types of bondages and arguments  These people , who could be your beloved,guru,or even your idol , love with you very intimately always leave their virtual effect and you always cherish their ever lasting memory. One or two of these people could be just like the dissolved sugar cube( Misri) in water and are really away from greed and all other types of evils.They could be a human being  , the nature or even the Lord Almighty.

The author , while comparing the mighty Sun full of light and energy with an extremely small source , the insect “ Jugnu “ in the stark darkness of the moonless nights points out that the small insect is totally self sufficient for it’s light and does not depend at all either on Sunlight or even on the dim light from the pulsating distant stars in the sky.ASA matter of fact, because of it’s courage and natural urge to go ahead , the Almighty Nature has provided it a wonderful  fuel less lantern ,which does not even need the initial ignition. A small earthen lamp also possesses this type of valour and boldness . Although, it is not able to remove the darkness just under it, is fully prepared to create the light all around without the fear of life from the threatening strong winds blowing.Just similar is a small bamboo plant boldly surviving in the flood as compared to the mighty trees on the river bank flowing away. A courageous and bold determined boatman does embark upon to cross the 

big Arabian sea with the raised “ Ma stool on his boat  and does gain the required speed with the kind support  arriving from the strong sea winds. 

Nachiketa , the great hero from the Kathopnishad, shows extraordinary  valour to stand up and face Yamraj, the God of death ,and shows up no fear to finally obtain the desired results.

It can , therefore be concluded from the above interesting and message imparting examples , that on getting the call of the valour, embarking upon to some sincere and dedicated  assignment for the needed service for the nation  and the society at large, is the first and the most important key of achieving the grand success. However , in this process, he leaves behind in the way itself , wharever  gems , he has already been able to find out. One should understand that still there is time of safely securing in your possesion, whatever,you have already achieved as life is not gambling where one goes on playing even after continued defeats , in the hope of a final win. Life provides us an appropriate opportunity only once, and if we loose the chance, it never appears again. As a matter of fact, the Almighty Nature does gives you to really test your understanding, work culture , industriousness and boldness .These challenges do keep with their deep inside , many opportunities and achievements of great success.If we do not understand and do not utilise them to our advantage, we will have to keep sitting without doing anything. This is akin to a lazy farmer , who keeps looking at the clouds in the sky, waiting for some plentiful rain and does not initiate any actions for sowing of the seeds in his lands. 

It is therefore seriously advised that one should catch the useful “ present “ moment and completely forget the “ past”,which has already become the history.

The author points out the extreme importance of the of the necessity of “living with oneself”. For this he mentions about the ever moving and changing Nature and with it the continuous people’s movement here and there, their entry  , stay for some predecided time,and final exit from here forever at various intervals of time.Seeing this all, one feels that he is all alone and in some sort of vacuum.However  this perception is not true and only the bad result of one’s “ self forgetfullness”. 

Vir Arjun from the classical epic, Mahabharat, also had the same dilemma of the “ self forgetfullness” as he was not able to  discern, who is he, from where he has come? Although, he was physically present in the battle field, he did not even know , what could be his right or wrong deeds.He was in this condition , as in that battle field, he was with every body else but not with himself.  Thus , instead of knowing the answers himself, he had to  search for the right answers to his inner querrys .He got them from his close friend Lord Krishna , who had offered to become his charittor in the battle field in the  form of  the great Bhagvan Gita. He then realised that the most important requirement of any good deed is one’s “ Purusharth” and his self consciousness and without these , one does not get even the mundane things like wealth,desire fulfilment ,etc ,what to talk of salvation. The Bhagvad  Gita starts from Arjun’s detatchment and “ self forgetfulness “ and ends  with their removal and achievement  of his self realisation.

These are the three lessons which can learn from the above interesting narrative 

-it should be realised that nice opportunities such as Jamvant meeting the Lord Hanuman  and the great Guru Chanakya meeting a simple milkman do occur only very rarely and will not be available easily. 

-If one forgets himself, it will surely lead to the complete closure ofyour inside doors

-It is the biggest truth  nobody can know you any better than your own self.
